Connect a Mouse to Your iPad or iPhone

You can connect just about any type of mouse to your iPhone or iPad, including:

  1. Wireless Bluetooth mice
  2. Wired USB mice (or even PS/2 with adapter)
  3. Wireless mice that use an RF dongle

Connecting a Bluetooth Mouse
First, make sure your Bluetooth mouse is nearby and has sufficient charge. Now, on your iPad or iPhone:
  1. Head to Settings > Accessibility > Touch.
  2. Choose AssistiveTouch and toggle it on.
  3. Scroll down to “Pointer Devices” and tap “Devices.”
  4. Tap on “Bluetooth Devices” to start the pairing process.
  5. Now set your Bluetooth mouse to discoverable (or pairing mode) and tap on its name when it shows up on your iPad or iPhone.

Connecting a Wireless Mouse with a Dongle

Since the dongle and the mouse are already paired out of the box, the instructions are the same as connecting a wired mouse
  1. Connect your dongle to the USB port, and then connect the Lightning jack to your iOS or iPadOS device.
  2. Turn on your mouse and make sure it has power.
  3. Head to Settings > Accessibility > Touch.
  4. Choose “AssistiveTouch” and toggle it on.

Step to step method

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap “Accessibility” down in the left-hand menu and Tap “Touch”
  3. Tap the “Assistive Touch” bar near the top of the screen.
  4. Turn on the “Assistive Touch” toggle near the top of the screen.
  5. Scroll down to “Pointing Devices” and tap it.
  6. Look for your mouse.
