 667 new patients: More than 1 crore corona tested in Gujarat, biggest relief news for four metros

As of January 7, 2021, 667 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Gujarat. With this comes the news of relief that the recovery rate has gone up. However, the number of corona tests in the state has also declined. With the number of active cases declining in the state, less than 150 cases of corona have been reported in the metros as well.

899 patients recovered with 667 new cases in 24 hours

So far 2,37,222 patients have recovered

According to the press note, 667 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours. So far 2,49,913 patients have been registered in Gujarat. The recovery rate from corona in the state is 94.92 per cent. So 47,942 tests have been done in Gujarat today. So far a total of 1,00,03,606 tests have been done. However, the number of corona tests has been reduced than before.

Less than 9 thousand active cases in the state

According to data released by the state health department, 899 patients have recovered in the state today and a total of 2,37,222 patients have recovered so far. So there are currently 8359 active cases. Of which 58 patients are on a ventilator.

The death toll from corona in the state has risen to 4332 with 3 patients dying from Covid-19 today. Today 2 in Ahmedabad and 1 in Surat thus a total of 3 people have died from corona in 24 hours. In the last few months, most patients are dying in Ahmedabad.

A sharp decline in cases in metros, with less than 150 reported cases

In the state today, 4 cases were reported in 129-rural areas in Ahmedabad city, 19 cases in the 101-rural city in Surat city, 27 cases in 91 rural areas in Vadodara city, and 18 cases in the 62-rural city in Rajkot city. Not a single case in Bhavnagar Rural, Porbandar and Tapi.
