3) The employee's bank account portal and Aadhaar number should be linked to his UAN.

4) The last job must have a date of exit. If not, update it first.

5) E-KYC must be approved by the employer in advance.

6) Only one transfer request for last member ID will be approved,

7) Verify and confirm the personal information provided inside the member profile before applying.

8) Also keep a soft copy of a valid identity card (PAN card, Aadhar car, driving license) ready.


This is the process of account transfer

1) Go to EPFO's Unified Member Portal https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ and log in using UAN and password.

2) After logging in go to ‘Online Services’ and click on the option ‘one member one epf account (transfer request)’.

3) Verify the personal information and PF account attached to the current appointment.

4) Then click on the Get Details option. You will need to provide PF account details of the last appointment.

5) Select one of the previous employer and current employer to attest to the online claim form. You select it based on the authorized secretarial holding DSC.

6) Give the Member ID or UAN by selecting either of the two employers.

7) Lastly click on the ‘Get OTP’ option. So you will have OTP on the mobile number registered in UAN. Then enter the OTP and click on the Submit option.

Total cost = 80,000 x 3 = 2,40,000 rupees


That is, only if you spend Rs 2.40 lakh will you be able to avail the benefit of LTC Cash Voucher Scheme and get tax exemption. But if you spend only Rs 1.80 lakh, it will benefit you at 75 per cent of the total LTC fair, i.e. Rs 60,000.


Private company employees will also get a discount

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said in a statement that employees other than the central government would get income tax benefit on payment of a maximum cash allowance of Rs 36,000 per person on both sides in the form of valid LTC. This waiver will be subject to certain conditions.
