For the first time in Gujarat, the BJP has announced the list of candidates for the by-elections. By-elections are to be held on eight seats in Gujarat. 

Within the BJP, tensions were running high between the MLAs who had resigned from the Congress and the grassroots workers. With this, the state BJP took the list of presidential candidates and reached the Delhi High Command.

 After a late-night discussion, the list of candidates was announced by the BJP this afternoon. It may be mentioned that the names of candidates were announced by the BJP from only seven seats. The name of the BJP candidate from Limbdi's seat was not announced.
