Modi government's digital strike: ban on 42 more Chinese apps, not even an application somewhere in your phone!
The Indian government on Monday launched a digital strike on China following tensions on the border with China. The Centre's Modi government has banned 43 applications. Which contains the name of the larger application. It has already shut down popular apps like UC Browser, Cam Scanner, Share It, Viva Video, including the most popular Tiktok app in India.

The Indian government has banned 43 more Chinese applications in India, further tweaking the Chinese economy. The ban is imposed under Section 69A of the IT Act. The action has been taken on the basis of inputs relating to applications involving biased activities of India's sovereignty, integrity, defense, security and public order.

Earlier, on June 28, 2020, the central government banned 59 Chinese mobile applications, and on September 2, 118 more applications under Hour 69A of the Information Technology Act (IT Act). The Government is committed to the interests of its citizens and to the sovereignty and integrity of India in all spheres and will take all necessary steps.
