This news is special for you if your account is in SBI, the largest bank in the country. In fact, State Bank of India (SBI) has issued an urgent notice to its more than 42 crore customers. The SBI has issued a warning against the call or message in the name of KYC verification. The SBI reported this on Twitter. "Protect yourself from incoming calls or messages of KYC verification," SBI said in a tweet.

Notify the bank of the fraud

"Protect yourself from fraudulent calls or messages requesting KYC verification," the SBI said in a tweet. SBI has shared a video for security advice and asked to report such case at https://cybercrime.gov.in.


Here are 7 tips to avoid fraud

Do not share OTP with anyone.

Avoid remote access applications.

Don't share a copy of Aadhaar with a stranger.

Update your new contact details in your bank account.

Change your password from time to time.

Do not share your mobile and private data with anyone.

Avoid before clicking on any link.

The SBI has also stated what consumers should do in case of fraud. The SBI said if you see any unauthorized transaction in your bank account, immediately register it on toll-free customer care numbers 18004253800 and 1800112211. Also report cybercrime at https://cybercrime.gov.in.

KYC means know your customers. To ensure this their customer is real. This is an important step by the bank. So it is not true to verify by phone, text or email. So if you get a call or message for KYC verification, remember, this is a fraud call.
