State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest bank, has tweeted. Through this tweet, the bank alerted all the customers and said that nowadays people are calling in the name of SBI and asking for personal details. If you receive such calls, be alert, and do not provide any information without verification.

Because, the account will be emptied to provide any information. In fact, one such incident took place in which Rs 2.22 lakh was cleared from the account of a person claiming to be an SBI official. After which the case reached the bank and it was reported that fraud had taken place.


KYC comes in the name of verifying the phone

The SBI told all its customers that some cyber criminals have become bank officials, calling people in the name of KYC verification and withdrawing money from their accounts. The bank has refused to respond to such calls or messages and has been asked to remain alert. The SBI said. Fraudsters can contact you as a bank official. If you receive such a call, report it immediately to Cybercrime.gov.in.

Paid Rs 10 and cleared Rs 2.22 lakh

Something similar happened with a customer of SBI. He actually got a call and the customer shared his information about KYC. After which, through net backing, the swindler deposited Rs 10 in the name of verifying the account. The customer was then asked to pay this amount through mobile banking. 


At the same time, Rs 1.35 lakh was deducted from the customer's account. After which the swindler asked to pay by debit card. This time 72 thousand rupees were deducted from his account. Thus, Rs 2.22 lakh was cleared from the customer's account.
