Appeal to people to stay away from color festivals and dusty celebrations
Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that in view of the prevailing situation in Corona, a limited number of citizens have been allowed to formally light Holi on the upcoming Holi festival in March. He has not been banned by the state government. He has appealed to the citizens of the state to stay away from Rangotsav and Dhuleti celebrations for the safety of the people on or after the Holiday.

Deputy CM says there is no need to panic with Corona
Nitin Patel said that the state of Gujarat is fully prepared to fight against corona at a time when corona is rampant in many states of the country. So there is no need to panic but to be careful and follow all government guidelines, said Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel.
Adequate treatment of corona patients
Stating that patients with primary stage symptoms are coming in increasing cases, Patel added that even at present, all the hospitals in the state have adequate facilities for the treatment of coronary heart disease patients. The number of patients recovering from corona treatment has also increased in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel added that there was no need to panic.
Now, even on Sunday, 2 lakh people will be vaccinated
Deputy Chief Minister Patel added that vaccination is being carried out at more than 2500 vaccination centers across the state. In which 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh citizens are vaccinated every day. Currently, Sunday was a holiday for vaccination operations, but this important decision has been made by the health department in view of the current situation in Corona. Vaccination is being carried out at all the designated primary health centers, community health centers and district hospitals in the state.
The number of active cases of corona in the state has crossed 6 thousand
A total of 1,565 cases were reported in the state yesterday. Earlier, on November 29, 1,564 cases were registered. While 969 patients have recovered and returned home. The death toll in Ahmedabad and Surat Corporation area was 2-2 and in Vadodara and Rajkot Corporation area was 1-1 with a total death toll of 4,443. For the first time since December 28, six patients have died in the state. With this, the recovery rate of the state has gone up to 96.08 percent. The number of new patients and the number of discharged patients have been increasing in the state for the last 28 days. Earlier on February 20, the number of recoveries was higher than the number of new patients. The number of active cases of corona in the state has crossed 6 thousand and at present, there are 6737 active cases.
Night curfew was imposed in four metros, including Ahmedabad

The state government has decided to implement a night curfew in four metros - Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, and Rajkot from 10 pm to 6 am today, March 17, 2021, in view of the increasing number of corona infections in the state. This arrangement of night curfew will be in force till March 31, 2021. The state government had decided to maintain the previous arrangement of night curfew in all the four metros till Tuesday, March 16, i.e. from 12 pm to 6 am. However, the night curfew in Ahmedabad has been extended from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
