Corona is getting out of control in the state. And in the second wave of Corona, more than 2600 daily cases are going. The government of CM Vijay Rupani has taken a big decision regarding schools due to the increasing transition in Teva. It has been decided to close Gujarat Schools from Std. 1 to 9 in the state. These decisions have been taken at the core committee meeting. Schools in the state will remain closed indefinitely from April 5.
As per the decision of the core committee, considering the state of transition of cores in the state, all government and private schools in Std. 1 to 9 across the state will be closed from Monday 5th April till further notice or order.
Amid the outcry in the state, the government had decided to stop offline education in schools in eight metros from March 18. Direct education will be closed in all primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, and Gandhinagar from March 19, 2021, to April 10. Earlier, Std 10 and 12 schools were opened from January 11, following which Std 10 and 12, PG, and last year's college classes were started. Then in the state std. Schools for 9th and 11th were started on 1st February as well as classes for standard 9th to 12th and competitive examinations were allowed.
