MG Motor India introduces Astor SUV's new drive AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology. The British carmaker's car has been tested several times on Indian roads. MG Astor is now entering the compact SUV segment. The car company is ready to compete with rival companies like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
New Delhi: MG Motor India has unveiled Astor SUV's new drive AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology. The British carmaker's car has been tested several times on Indian roads. MG Astor is now entering the compact SUV segment. The car company is ready to compete with rival companies like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Let us say that Astor SUV has been introduced in the form of internal combustion engine. The company's popular electric car will be the petrol engine model of the MG ZS EV. This is the fourth model of MG motor in the Indian market. However the MG Astor will be the first car to introduce an IT system enabled by the Geo IoT solution. Reliance Jio will provide e-SIM and IoT technology for real time infotainment and telematics.

The next Aster will be the cheapest MG car in the country. In addition, it will be the cheapest car in India equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The car manufacturer has confirmed that the SUV will be based on CAAP. The platform introduces technology including software machine learning, blockchain, artificial intelligence.

Engine and power:
The MG Astor SUV will have a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine. The engine generates about 141 bhp of power and 240 Nm of torque. The engine is expected to come with a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic.

Reliance joins hands with Jio
The previously launched Hector SUV gets the 'Internet Inside' badge, while the MG Aster is likely to get the 'AI Inside' badge. To enhance in-car connectivity, MGA will join hands with Reliance Jio to provide real-time infotainment as well as access to telematics to provide 4G connectivity suite via e-SIM with IoT technology inside the car.

MG is working with a number of emerging technology ecosystems globally. These include AI, machine learning, blockchain and many other technical things. All of these technologies will create a support system for CAAP and enable the development and implementation of services and subscriptions to meet the growing demand for cars.
Features:
Features available in the car include LED lamps (front and rear) and DRLs, dual tone alloy wheels, roof mounted spoiler, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, i-Smart Connect, digital console with sunroof.
