Children will not learn mathematics, they will understand: Inclusion of Vedic mathematics in schools under new education policy
The decision to include Vedic Mathematics in the school curriculum has been taken by the education department under the new education policy. Apart from history, the government is also working aggressively on its own heritage issue. The School of Excellence will include Vedic Mathematics as a subject from next academic session in an estimated 20,000 schools. The new year will be started with this unique concept so that the students can not only find mathematics as a stressful subject but also enjoy it and understand mathematics instead of learning it.

Vedic mathematics will be included in the study in phases in class 6 to 10. The entire process will be carried out under a pilot project in this regard. Once successful, the entire course will be covered in phases. Vedic Mathematics has been introduced for the purpose of acquainting the students with the cultural heritage of India. Necessary study training will be organized by GCERT. Teachers will also be trained in phases.
