નોકરીમાં મજા નથી એવુ વિચારીને આણંદના ખેડૂતે ખેતી શરૂ કરી, આજે આયુર્વેદિક પ્લાન્ટ ઉગાવીને કરે છે લાખોની કમાણી

Thinking that work is not fun, Anand's farmer started farming, today he earns millions by growing Ayurvedic plants.

A man started farming thinking that his job would not be fun, now he earns more than the employed people by farming Brahmi.

After the corona epidemic, people all over the world are now leaving various health treatment therapies and turning to Ayurvedic therapy. While the importance of medicinal plants has increased a lot, realizing the importance of medicinal crops in the future, the farmer of Isnav village of Anand district is earning income by natural cultivation of medicinal crop Brahmi.

After the corona epidemic, there has been a health awareness among people, and people are gradually turning to traditional Ayurvedic treatment. Then the demand for medicinal crops has increased. People have started to understand the importance of medicinal plants better. This is the reason, the demand for medicinal products has increased in the market, which is proving to be beneficial for the farmers. Due to low production and high demand, farmers are getting good prices for medicinal crops. For this reason, farmers are turning to natural cultivation of medicinal plants in the desire for higher income.

Vimal Patel, a young farmer from Isnao village, was previously working in Surat. But he saw that the job would not be fun, so he left the job and returned to his native village Isnav and started farming on his ancestral land. Wanting to try something new, Vimalbhai increased his meetings with agricultural scientists at the Anand Agricultural University and the Sungadhiya Pad and Medicinal Centre. Here they found that people all over the world are turning to Ayurvedic treatment today. Due to which the demand of medicinal crops will increase in the coming time. Loamy soil is suitable for Brahmi cultivation. So they started Brahmi cultivation in their one and a half acre land and today they are getting good production of Brahmi with good success.

Farmer Vimal Patel says that earlier he used to cultivate paddy and sorghum, compared to which both production and income are getting good in Brahmi cultivation. Brahmi cultivation can bring good benefits to the farmers. Brahmi is a medicinal herb and is considered very important in terms of Ayurveda. On one hand it is called a brain booster and on the other hand Brahmi is used in the manufacture of many medicines. Forests are the main source of herbs and medicinal leaves for Ayurvedic medicines. But now the forests are being cut down, so medicinal plants and herbs have to be grown in the fields and their demand will increase the income of the farmers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to double the income of farmers. Vimal Patel then said that if the government helps the farmers for value addition along with medicinal crops, then the farmers will be able to make products from their crops and sell them directly in the market, so that the income of the farmers will double directly.

Vimal Patel is cultivating Brahmi in a cow-based natural way on his one-and-a-half vedha land, saving him the cost of chemical fertilizers and medicine. Also, being natural, the price of Brahmi is also higher. At present they earn income by selling crops directly to traders. But in the future, they want to add value by making Brahmi powder and selling it directly in the market.

For Brahmi cultivation like paddy its nursery is prepared first. After this the plants are transplanted. Brahmi is generally cultivated by making dams. For this, the distance from stop to stop should be kept 25 to 30 cm. At the same time plant to plant distance is kept half feet. Due to which its yield is good. Irrigation and weeding should be done at appropriate time after planting. The first crop of Brahmi is ready for harvest four months after planting. Farmers can get three to four crops from it once planted. Big money can be made by selling its roots and leaves.
