More cases in adults

According to experts, myopia is a common disease found in children. 35.6% of adults and 5.3% of children in the country are suffering from myopia. Myopia causes a lot of damage to the eyes. Regarding the study, Dr. Soumya R, Consultant, Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, said that the sun is a good source of vitamin D. For the last years, people remained locked in their homes. Due to which children are affected badly. The children have not been able to get sunlight because of staying at home. This is the main cause of vitamin D deficiency.
