According to RBI's holiday calendar, banks will be closed for more than half of the days in August. There are a total of 18 bank holidays in different states of the country this month due to various festivals.

The bank will be open only for 13 days in this month 
There are many festivals in the month of August. These include Rakshabandhan, Muharram, Ganesh Chaturthi and Independence Day and Krishna Janmashtami. According to RBI's bank holiday calendar, only 13 days will be operational in banks in the month of August. 

18 days will not work 
RBI has announced in its list that banks will be closed for several days in August. In addition to the festive holidays this month, if we include the weekly holiday of Sunday along with the second and fourth Saturday, banks will not work for the entire 18 days. 

Online banking services will continue 
during the festive month even though banks are closed but you can do banking related work online during this time. Online banking services will be available on all days.
